About Martins & Montero

Considered as one of the leading galleries in Brazil, Galeria Jaqueline Martins has succeeded in shedding light on Brazilian conceptual artists from the 70’s and the mid 80’s, an often overshadowed movement that coincided with the country’s dictatorship years. The gallery is also interested in the emerging Brazilian scene, however their objective is to bridge it to the previous generation, encouraging dialogue and connexions between them. In 2020, they opened its second exhibition space in Brussels, exporting its Brazilian roster overseas and developing the gallery’s program internationally.
