About this artwork

Diagrams are visual drawings/poems, connective tools that mediate words, images, and other elements (active-passive) that engage and are engaged in the materialization of the intervention, plural. Diagrams are thoughts spatialized through choreographed movements (always dynamic; sometimes agitated, sometimes calm). Diagrams are exercises that have taken recurring forms since 1994 and are still in development, between lines-dots-connections-words-etc. Through operations of change of scale, words stand out, balls, bubbles and 'viral droplets', in contamination, agglutinate, in relational confrontation/pacification with the 'real' space, the exhibition space. On a monochromatic background the contrasts of the contours (me/you) are accentuated. [text by Michelle Farias Sommer]
