About this artwork

Bolsominion is a term used to describe those Brazilians who support the persona and regime of Jair Messias Bolsonaro. The fictive currency depicts Brazil's president vociferating the words in latin "Ipsa Conteret Caput Tuum" (I will smash your head), and on the other side is the face of Carlos Brilhante Ustra, a well known torturer of the country's hard military regime era.

André Parente brings a mixture of negative criticism of the current Brazilian government and, at the same time, some reflection on the economic model it defends and carries out.
