UN goals

The most important thing for me is the possibility of being close to the artists, to be able to embrace them, to cry and laugh with them in our city.

About El Apartamento

Emerging in 2015 in Havana’s alternative art scene, El Apartamento has positioned itself as the first Cuban gallery of international recognition. Created by the young art collector Christian Gundín, the gallery represents significant contemporary Cuban artists from different generations like Juan Carlos Alom, Rocío García or Diana Fonseca. Their comprehensive roster includes an array of mediums that go from traditional artistic practices to video art and even NFTs. With the majority of the galleries in the country being run by the state, El Apartamento has become the space of reference to truly measure the heat of the Cuban artistic scene.
