About this artwork

An abandoned stuffed toy in the form of a tiger appears on a large garbage trolley in an urban setting. Juan Carlos Alom coincidentally caught this interesting scene. Title “Untitled”, this work is posing questions and challenging us to review how human beings are treating wildlife as well as what impacts human beings have imposed on animals’ habitats.

One of the most outstanding Cuban artists in the fields of photography, documentary and experimental filmmaking, Juan Carlos Alom was recognized by the Time Magazine in 2000 as one of the 100 Latin American photographers of the millennium.
