The whole art market is trying to push itself into an industrial system, a big machine, which I don't like. I think a gallery is about life and love with people.

About Art : Concept

Founded in 1992 by Olivier Antoine in Nice (South of France), Galerie Art : Concept moved to Paris' 13th district in 1997, motivated by the emergence and buzz of contemporary culture in Rue Louise Weiss. Since 2010 the gallery has been permanently in the Marais. It focuses on contemporary art from French and international artists, some of whom it has been working with for 25 years, as well as young graduates, enabling a large number of solo shows and in situ installations. Art : Concept works within a logic of human scale, a traditional rather than industrial approach to art. The gallery collaborates with external curators and galleries, and cultivates its international reach through collaborations and art fair attendance as well as through relationships with several institutions in Europe, the United States and Asia.
