About this artwork

Different creatures, mesmerized by a puzzling object, gather together in what looks like a plain. A naked man and some animals meet to contemplate and possibly touch the object, recalling the myth of Prometheus.

With her mystical, fantastical and extremely vivid approach to art, Gastaldon develops a sort of harmonization of qualities both spiritual and physical. Her mystical approach–nourished from an array of beliefs that go from Hindu and Aztec mythology to meditation and yoga–is testament to her multifaceted practice. She engenders new beliefs, and by means of negative and positive impulses she pushes social unconsciousness out of the way, liberating our collective thought of the predefined egregores that oblige us to keep reproducing spiritual and social patterns.
