About this artwork

Repurposing an old ceramic heater and adding to it a hollow shape, Katinka Bock plays with balance and the fragility of sculpture.

With an ever-enigmatic body of work, Katink Bock is fascinated by sites and materials. Texture and our senses are solicited in each of her installations creating a space where her viewership is encouraged to play and imagine new configurations. Objects that were part of everyday life are turned into artworks, through these simple mechanisms, she perpetuates art’s relationship with ready-mades and raw materials.
