About this artwork

Pictures of a floating wig: this could be the substitute title for this painting(s) by the dynamic duo We are the Painters. Wigs, a recurrent shape in their work, take the form of surreal and colorful mountains, infusing our lives with wonder and joy.

We are the painters’ work revolves around the medium of painting; however, they also experiment with installations, sculpture and found objects. Their ingenious and unassuming artistic practice has led them to collaborate with unlikely beings such as goats, farmers and artists alike.
