About this artwork

Artist’s use of different materials – oil paint and pastels with the added collage pieces combines a drawing and an oil painting together, thus creating a hybrid. In this artwork, figures on top of each other are similarly merged together and exist in the intersection between human and bestial.
Amir Nave started with the drawings and then transitioned to oil painting. But one can feel the strong presence of a line in his paintings. Amir Nave’s artworks show the motion of the artist's hand and are examples of a great sensitivity to color and a balanced and perfectly thought-out composition. The tension and density or the lack of the above represents the relationship between emptiness and fullness. His works are full of underlying meaning, and his characteristic figures address the emotions and speak through them.
