About this artwork
In describing his inspiration for the exhibition in which “Delivery” was shown, Amir Nave invites us to consider perspectives from different cultures, soils, and lives. It is a suggestion to deconstruct our gaze, giving space to reflection on connections and communities. What makes us a society is, at the end of the day, dependency on one another, and a certain desire to be together. In this painting, there is something fertile and chaotic happening at the intersection of the two central beings, contrasting with the arid, desert landscape. The balance in structure represents the relationship between emptiness and fullness. The figures of Nave’s drawings and paintings explore all kinds of intimate interactions between people or introspection, ending up being an inquiry into meaningful forms and subconscious processes.
