About this artwork
A surreal scene reveals itself to us, like a garden of eden from a parallel world. A man, sitting and sweating profusely as two snakes on his lap examine him, and a woman, engulfed in flames, retain expressionless faces, accepting their fate and sipping on some milk. Although they are both in seemingly stressful predicaments, the naked individuals are one with the nature and elements around and on them. It’s a push and pull relationship, chaotic and peaceful at the same time. The human elements such as the flip-flops and smiley plastic bag reminds us that it is not a balanced relationship however, and humankind has imprinted on their environment in a way that could be cause for revenge.
