About this artwork

Caught in the middle of their work, four painted figures are concentrated on planning the foundations of a future structure. Possibly building a home, a shelter, or any other communal architecture, the rich ground is ready to be worked. We get the sense that the otherwise barren land is in an era of renewal, one where differences between beings bear no more weight. Șerban Savu makes us wonder how much of the environment that we have built is taken for granted, and where humankind may end up soon. The post-apocalyptic feeling in his paintings carry a solemn calmness, and men unquestionably work together for better.
