About this artwork
Christoph Weber consciously deals with repetition as a means of visualizing repressed fears and memories. In several of his works, an act of destruction precedes the repetition.
For the installation "Stack" (2008), Weber reproduced a number of battered aluminum plates and stacked them on top of each other. It can in turn be read as a reference to an industrial system that, uninfluenced by human action, fails and triggers chain reactions through the production of errors.
