About this artwork

This work is part of The Polar Bears Series. The big white bear is an endangered species, and its presence here alongside statements from political or politically connoted figures – among them Barack Obama, Brian Eno, Desmond Tutu, Jane Goodall and Ansel Adams – comes as a manifesto reminding us of their ecological awareness and their commitment in the urgent struggle against global warming.

Margaret Mead (1901-1978) American anthropologist. She is one of the first activists against global warming.
