About this artwork
In this retouched image, Renaud Auguste-Dormeuil reveals the figures in the center by subtraction, cut out and commuted into a black starry sky. The tone of the landscape elements both in the foreground and the background has also been adapted as monochrome — any hints to the time of the day or the season are also removed.
Le Tourbillon de la vie is a photographic series initiated in 2011, presented for the first time in its entirety on the occasion of his personal exhibition "Lorsque viendra le printemps" at In Situ - fabienne leclerc (November - December 2020).
