About this artwork

In a surreal closeup of an intimate spiritual moment, we observe a crying person, a slight smile on their lips, receiving in their hands the glow coming out of a hoof. The surreal bright colors only emphasize the mythical aspect of the scene. Horses are often recognized as a symbol of strength, courage, and freedom. These elements come together in a picture of hope, allying humanity, spirituality, and nature, still inscribing itself in Ivana de Vivanco’s Latin American Baroque.
