Biography

Josep Maynou’s work spans across multiple media, often relying on the objects he has at hand to transform and build a narrative in spaces like repair shops, laundromats, or second-hand stores. By repurposing items into lamps, or collaborating with Berber rug makers, Maynou creates a method of storytelling from pre-existing building blocks. The artist subsequently brings the stories to life through performance.
