Organization information
BEYOND AID AND RELIEF
Location: Juba, Uganda
Summary
Domestic and gender-based violence (GBV) was a global pandemic long before the COVID-19 outbreak. Uganda government imposed lockdowns to contain the coronavirus, implored residents to stay home to protect themselves and others from coronavirus disease, but this has increased risks associated with domestic and GBV, especially for women and children in homes. In Uganda over 3500 GBV cases were reported in April 2020 alone; the project shall avail awareness, prevention and mitigate tools in Uganda.
