Summary
Young people in Kenya know that education and training is key to getting out of poverty and a productive future. The Umoja Project provides a network of care to orphaned children in this area of extreme poverty. Primary students receive food, school uniforms and vital psychosocial support. Secondary students receive fees. More resources are needed to support motivated students beyond secondary school, so that they can obtain skills to gain employment and support themselves and their families.
