Summary
The El Cano Foundation achieved it's goal of reopening the the El Cano Archaeological Museum in April 2019 with an exhibit of artifacts discovered between 2010 and 2016 in the over 1000-year-old necropolis. Now the project moves to the stage of preservation and maintenance of the museum, exhibit and artifacts. There is still work to do in and around the building as well as the exhibit, work that was left undone due to lack of funds. Continued investigation of the site is planned for 2020.
