Summary
"I want to work" is repeated continually in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, with unemployment for people with disabilities at 90%. In this agricultural coffee-based economy, Familias Especiales (FE) started five small businesses to offer employment to train & integrate people who have never left their homes before to learn the "culture of work." In addition, the social team supports a psychologist to work with 40 young people with disABILITIES in On-The-Job skill training & social integration.
