Housing for the Vulnerable Refugees of Lesvos
Organization information
Lesvos Solidarity
Location: Mytilini, Greece
Summary
Lesvos Solidarity is well known for its operation in Pikpa open refugee camp used to host the most vulnerable refugees on the island since 2012. In Oct. 2020 the Greek authorities evicted Pikpa camp and its 133 residents. LeSol continues to advocate in favour of dignified accommodation for all refugees and asylum seekers. Overcrowded camps and detention centres is not an option mostly for people with increased needs for safety and protection, especially now with the COVID pandemic.
