Help Protect Asylum Seekers
Organization information
International Rescue Committee
Location: New York, United States of America
Summary
Families escaping gang violence and persecution in Central America are undertaking a dangerous journey to seek safety in the United States. In response to the caravan of asylum-seeking families traveling north, the current US administration has threatened to close the country's southern border, as well as deny these families safe haven-a policy that not only violates international and U.S. laws, but deliberately leaves individuals in harm's way.
