Summary
25 Nicaraguan girls w/disAbilities & their moms are walking in each other's shoes: growing together in health, recreation, education, & awareness of abuse & violence. Magic Shoes are affirmation groups of moms & girls building communities, giving space for girls & moms to get to know each other. So often, girls, w/disAbilities receive less attention in a family, invisible, even to her mom except for her disability. The cycle of violence can be broken by aware moms & girls together.
