Generating Organic Compost for Farming in Haiti
Organization information
SOIL
Location: Sherburne, United States of America
Summary
Haiti is one of the most climate-vulnerable and food-insecure countries in the world. By producing organic, agriculture-grade compost from safely-treated human waste, SOIL is transforming a public health crisis into a climate-positive environmental solution. Our lifesaving sanitation service provides a safe in-home toilet to over 6,000 people in urban Haiti and produces 80+ tons of compost annually to support agriculture and reforestation.
