FOXG1 Research Foundation: Support research for rare neurological genetic disorder
Organization information
FOXG1 Research Foundation
Location: Berlin, Germany
Summary
The FOXG1 Research Foundation (FRF) is the parent-led global organisation driving the research to find treatments and ultimately a cure for every individual in the world with the rare neurological genetic disorder called FOXG1 syndrome.
Most children with FOXG1 syndrome cannot walk, or talk, or take care of their basic needs; they are often tube-fed and suffer from epilepsy.
While FOXG1 syndrome is a rare disorder, research shows the FOXG1 is linked to Alzheimer’s, autism, schizophrenia, and brain cancers, and more and the research into the FOXG1 can help solve major brain disorders affecting millions of people worldwide.
The FOXG1 Research Foundation is dedicated to funding the world’s leading neuroscientists that are integral along the road to a cure, while also advocating and supporting patients and families throughout this difficult life journey.
