European Network Against Racism: Achieving a racism-free society
Organization information
ENAR (European Network Against Racism)
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Summary
The ENAR Foundation has been set up by the European Network Against Racism (ENAR aisbl) to support the anti-racism movement in Europe. Achieving a racism-free society and maximising the benefits of diversity for all: these are the ultimate objectives and challenges the ENAR Foundation has set for itself.
The ENAR Foundation and ENAR aisbl are active in all fields linked to the fight against racism, xenophobia, intolerance and discrimination, the advancement of equality and non-discrimination, as well as their articulation within the broader Human Rights agenda. They provide spaces for network members and activists representing different racialised minorities to exchange strategies, support communities, and remain resilient. ENAR aisbl also acts as a vehicle for connecting various agents of change, connecting grassroots organisations with the larger, regional and global civil society and with decision and opinion makers.
The funds raised by the ENAR Foundation help to empower member organisations around Europe to operate despite the shrinking civil society space, the growing right-wing political discourse in many countries, as well as the prolonging Covid-19 consequences.
