Empowering 1500 Venezuelan Migrant Women in Peru
Organization information
Emprendedoras del Hogar
Location: Lima, Peru
Summary
985K of Venezuelans arrived in Peru recently escaping from extreme poverty, violence and a dictatorship. Half of them are women who cannot find decent work due to xenophobia. To support them we have developed Loop, a mobile app that connects Venezuelan women with per-hour work opportunities to clean homes. We are currently preparing a massive campaign to share their backgrounds, stories and dreams to raise empathy, respect and trust for Venezuelans, encouraging Peruvians to hire their services.
