Summary
Each School on Wheels project introduces education to the lives of approximately 125 children for the first time, seeks to enroll them into mainstream education and then keeps them there with follow up programmes. For 120/child/annum, the project provides literacy lessons, regular health checks at local hospitals, parent awareness meetings, preparation for children to enter local schools or special schools, after-school study classes and pastoral support to keep them in school.
