The Covid-19 crisis in South America has taken an alarming turn, with cases increasing in Brazil, Colombia, and Bolivia. Hospitals are overwhelmed and there have been reports of oxygen shortages and insufficient hospital beds. There are urgent calls for more beds, medicines, oxygen, essential drugs and Covid-19 tests. Hospitals are overwhelmed and are running out of ICU beds and other critical medical equipment.
