Coding Skills and Employment to overcome COVID-19
Organization information
MAKAIA
Location: Medellin, Colombia
Summary
Colombia is one of the most unequal countries in Latin America. The COVID-19 crisis has highlighted these inequalities since millions have lost their jobs or their access to education. MAKAIA will train 100 women, youth and unemployed from low-income communities in coding and programming so they can acquire the right skills to get jobs, build a career path, or start their own businesses. The opportunities in the technology sector will continue to grow and they need to be accessible to all.
